Riding Here

Mountain biking is our culture. Through the window is a huge landscape spiderwebbed with epic descents. We wake up each day to spectacular views of Valhalla Park from our lakefront. Our days are spent dropping into trails that wind down through old growth forests.
Welcome to our stomping grounds, where you will explore trails that meld the past and present. In the 1890’s, during the mining boom of the ‘Silvery Slocan,’ thousands of miners armed with pick and shovel toiled to build pack trails from the lake up to their mineshafts. More than a century later, speeding down these same trails on our bikes, we can’t help but feel the presence of these long lost trail builders. They mined silver, we mine trails.
Long lost routes have been rekindled into smooth, bermed downhill trails, where riding past mine sites, speeding through huge timber is standard issue. These trails wind through old growth forest, leading you ever onwards to the perfect corner, your new favorite section. The lake is always nearby, and the next epic ride is after lunch. With Rilor Wilderness, riding and building is what we do. With a backyard like ours, it’s hard not to keep adding to the quiver of trails. Everytime we finish a new ride we are plotting where the next big descent will be. With thousands of acres of perfect terrain at our fingertips, we can’t help it, we just want to keep riding.
Come ride with us in the West Kootenay.
