Sample Trip Itinerary:

DAY 1: Arrive, Ride, Eat!

We ask that you arrive at Rilor Wilderness Lodge by 4pm.

-After appetizers, unpack the bikes, sign your waiver, and move into your room.

-RIDE “Tunnel Vision” our favorite trail, leading back to the lodge.

-Dinner, trip debriefing, safety info.

-With the remaining daylight we can go jump in the lake!

DAY 2: Sampling the 4,000 foot goods in New Denver

-BREAKFAST at 8.00am, depart the lodge at 9.00am

-RIDE our first big trail of the day, ‘Sundowner to H-Road’, a smooth magic carpet down old mining trails and past an old concentrator.

-RIDE ‘Choices to Galena’, a slight step up from our first ride, 3,500 vertical feet of singletrack smoothie.
- LUNCH on the Beach, hit the road for our final big descent of the day.

- RIDE ‘Wakefield’, a 5,000 footer with epic views of Slocan Lake and tacky soil. Finishes at the Lake so we usually jump in.

- RIDE ‘Tunnel Vision’ back to the Lodge for Dinner and deck time!

DAY 3: Sam’s Wild Ride, Mineshaft, Deceptacon, the Monster

-BREAKFAST at 8.00 am, depart the lodge at 9.00am

-RIDE ‘Sam’s Wild Ride’, a 2,500 descent featuring some bizarre cedar bridges.

- RIDE ‘Deceptacon’, a 3,100 foot descent that starts with an incredible view of Kootenay Lake before descending into the flowiest, fastest singletrack of the entire trip.

- LUNCH in the van, we need to keep moving on this big day.
-RIDE ‘Mineshaft’, Riley’s personal favorite trail, an 8 km twister through old growth forest that descends into old clear cuts that run fast and smooth.

- RIDE ‘The Monster’, our most challenging and dramatic trail. The Monster is a 4,000 foot descent with some pretty steep sections. The Monster is a true ‘downhill’, once you drop in there is no pedaling needed all the way down to the Kaslo River.

- DINNER on the deck, play some pool, check out helmet cam footage from the day, enjoy the view.

DAY 4: Deranged Brother, POWERSLAVE HELI-DROP!!!

- BREAKFAST at 8.00am, depart the lodge at 9.00am
 - RIDE ‘Deranged Brother’, a 2,000 foot descent through pine and fir forest.
-FLY up to the top of ‘POWERSLAVE’, our 5,700 foot heli drop descent.

- LUNCH at the top, take in the 360 degree view of Nelson area splendour.

- RIDE ‘Powerslave’, and experience 15 kms of singletrack moving downhill from the alpine, into deep cedar old growth forest, and finishing 1 km from downtown Nelson.
 - DINNER at the lodge to celebrate the trip, followed by awards, hopefully speeches, Hilarity, camaraderie. After riding with Rilor Wilderness it’s hard not to catch the ‘Kootenay Vibe.’
DAY 5: Breakfast, packup, morning departure.
