Clothing & Equipment
We strongly recommend riding clothing for all weather. We like to anticipate sunny weather, but things can change fast in the mountains. We ask guests to bring along a day pack each day. You can use this to bring along water, some tools, snacks, etc. Most days we leave the lunch in the Van and lunch on the way up the mountain or at the end of a trail down on the lake.
However, it is good to have a pack for longer rides. A full face helmet, knee and shin guards, and gloves are also recommended. You are welcome of course to wear a half shell cross country helmet but we do recommend the extra protection of a full face helmet. Apart from good riding shoes and clothes for chilling in the Lodge, don’t forget your bathing suit for the lake!
In terms of your bicycle, we highly and strongly recommend a bike with over 6″ of travel, preferably in the ‘All Mountain, Freeride, or Downhill’ category.
We ask you to take your bicycle to your local Bike Shop before your trip with us for a tune up, and also to bring spare brake pads and make sure that your bicycle is equipped with dual ply downhill style tires, such as the ‘Maxxis Minion.’
